"Since the buffoons of parliament unfurl the Rights of Man, do you boldly demand for yourselves, your wives and your children the Rights of the Horse."
M: Cables in France. I´m going to make a calendar from 90s where the dates match up to this year (recycle pre-Internet), also a small photo of my dog that I grew up with from my birth in 1980 to her death in 1994.
D: Think I'm gonna call the whole series The Rights of the Horse, after Paul Lafargue's -Marx's brother-in-law- essay and also author of the long essay The Right to Be Lazy, a masterpiece that my mum sent me in my cleaning years when I told her that I wanted to be a writer. It's all finally connecting. Let's just hope that I don't get evicted by the council in the middle of the process.

"I have to roll these up before I go. A00... AC Print Browser Home & Away kit prints."
D: We need a poster for the door. That might stop the Council's Tax Bailiff Division. Making a sign for the donation box. We need money for the pub. Also, let's serve the drinks in the kitchen. Art is art, and not a fucking Far West tavern. You think?

M: Edition of five calendars made in collaboration with Daniel Yanez-Gonzalez who has filled in important reminders, originally made and printed as 1991 Calendar, February page only, around the same time Daniel moved from Spain to live in Brighton. Some of those memories are mixed into the text. Later that year, in August of 1991, the Internet went public. This calendar is designed to match the Samiego exhibition dates, the days of the week in 1991 match 2019, hence the huge recycling symbol for some reason not visible on first picture. Photo is Cable Laying Ship Nexans Skaggerrak of Norway. I've tried to get permission to use the photo from their press office but they have never replied.
